Men Not Circumcised are Prone to Penile Cancer.

In addition to prostate cancer, penile cancer is one of the diseases that often attack men. This disease is vulnerable to uncircumcised men.

According to Singapore’s Parkway Cancer Center oncologist, Richard Quek Based on research, men who are not circumcised will be more susceptible to penile cancer than those who are circumcised. In uncircumcised men, it has smegma or white fluid which is a hiding place for germs that cause infection. Smegma is a fold of skin on the head of the penis. This is believed to be a knit for cancer cells. All men must have smegma. However, it will disappear when circumcised.

It is highly recommended that men do circumcision early to reduce the risk and be protected from penile cancer. Men should be circumcised at 5 years old because smegma develops perfectly at that age. Adult men who have not been circumcised should consider this best choice. Adult circumcision has been carried out by many doctors and this is very good for health.

Benefits that can be obtained from adult circumcision are:

  1. The penis is easier to clean.
  2. Reducing the risk of getting sexually transmitted diseases if you have safe sex.
  3. Reducing the risk of getting a urinary tract infection (UTI).
  4. Prevents phimosis or the inability to retract penile skin.
  5. Prevents balanitis (inflammation of the tip of the head of the penis) and balanoposthitis (inflammation of the penis head and foreskin).
  6. Reducing the risk of cervical cancer in female partners.
  7. Protection against penile cancer.

So, before it’s too late it’s better to prevent transmission of the disease by doing adult circumcision.

Adult circumcision procedure.

The circumcision procedure takes around 10 minutes to up to 1 hour. Before starting, the doctor will carry out anesthesia. Can use local anesthesia, half body, or general anesthesia that makes you fall asleep. General anesthesia uses a breathing apparatus attached to the mouth or nose and will be monitored during surgery.

Of the three types of anesthesia, local anesthetics are preferred because they are cheaper and have less risk.

Then a special plastic clamp or ring will be attached to the penis. Then the skin of the penis tip is pulled and cut. Finally, the penis is smeared with ointment like petroleum jelly and then wrapped loosely with gauze.

The next treatment is to deal with pain and inflammation by taking anti-inflammatory drugs and antibiotics given by the doctor. For a while avoid wearing tight pants. Gauze may be released one to two days after the procedure. However, the healing process can last for 1 to 2 weeks. During the healing process avoid soaking in water and not having sex for up to 6 weeks.
